Public Notice

Public Law 94-142 requires that all children who need special education services be identified, located and evaluated.  Battiest Public School provides educational opportunities to assure that all individuals, ages 3-21 with disabilities receive a free and appropriate education.  Anyone know of any child who may need special services is asked to contact Jo Lynn Tonihka at Battiest Public School, PO Box 199, Battiest, OK 74722 or call (580) 241-5550.

 Statement of Philosophy

Battiest Independent School District sees education as a vital preparation for our student’s futures.  In our rapidly changing world, we recognize that our democratic society is faced with serious  and complex social problems.  We as a school   are focused on providing an equitable, diverse, and appropriate education to all the students of our district.  It is our goal to prepare our students to be responsible citizens, capable of functioning effectively and intelligently in today’s world.   We are committed to maintaining quality vocational, media, computer, and academic facilities and programs as we endeavor to  prepare our students for their future.  We are also committed to providing each individual student with the opportunity to achieve through education to his or her fullest potential and become a valuable contributing member of society.
